Particularly it performs the following tasks:
- In the area of further training of advisory officers for career counseling, the Department:
- Executes measures resulting from the Sectional Operational Program “Manpower”, measure 3.3.A Development of Counseling on occupations and jobs with the aim of introducing the system of further education in the field of career counseling.
- Coordinates, methodologically guides content preparation, innovation and realization of the forms of further training of counselors providing career counseling.
- Provides complex module educational program modified according for target groups – Modular Distance Learning for European Mobility Career Counselors (MODILE-EUROCARCO), accredited with the Accreditation Commission for Further Education at ME SR, No. POA: 1696/34705/2005/93/1
- Provides training in use of an up-to-date ICT, e-learning educational program for career counselors.
- Provides quality standard development for delivered services of career counseling in the context of life-long learning and active employment policy, expert supervision of their observance, the elaboration of career counselor ethical code.
- Monitors and evaluates the structure and educational offers of secondary schools and the provision of information by career counselors.
- Cooperates with sectional educational institutions, pedagogical-psychological advisory centers, regional school boards and superior territorial authorities.
- Cooperates with foreign partnership organizations operating in the field of career counseling; it participates in specific foreign projects within EU scope aimed at the development of educational programs for career counseling.
