It participates in the development of vocational education in form of competitions and presentation activities of STS and SVS in the SR, to which we can count among the others the national school exhibition of students’ products and services with international importance and involvement JUVYR, the international fair of training firms in Slovakia. The Institute is a guarantee of specialized competitions for talented secondary school students: the national competition SOC – Secondary Scientific Activity, the competition of young prospective scientists and ZENIT, competition in programming, micro-electronics and engineering and Milk competition.
In cooperation with international partners the Institute provides organisation and realisation of international educational projects and programs at secondary apprentice and vocational schools in the Slovak Republic. It organizes training activities (internships, field trips, seminars, workshops, visits to specialized exhibitions etc.) for teachers and students of secondary apprentice and vocational schools abroad. It innovates the teaching methods at secondary schools by implementing simulation practices through simulations firms.
