The priority area of activity of the Department of Educational and Training Programs is represented by expert-methodological tasks related to innovation of valid documentation and development of new documentation for individual study and trade branches, realized in close cooperation with technical commissions, expert sub-commissions and work groups within which not only schools but also professionals from practice, universities and labor market representatives are represented.
The department is sponsor of the design of state educational programs it contributes to conceptual works and other tasks ordered by ME SR. It participates in approval procedures concerning textbooks, teaching materials and aids for secondary technical schools.
Furthermore, it performs design activities cooperating herein actively with domestic and foreign schools and various education institutions.
The department’s tasks are particularly aimed at the innovation of educational content and development of pedagogical documentation for individual trade and study branches, tutoring and counseling in the field of design of pedagogical documentation and in the area of vocational education and training revision. It monitors and evaluates experimental trade and study branches, organization, expert and methodical management of expert commissions, cooperates in the development of the projects of vocational education and training, participates in the planning and approval of the background documentation, expert opinions and statements for ME SR. Moreover, it elaborates fundamental documents for making legal regulations in the area of vocational education.
